2022 EWS-KT Annual Report cover

A message from our Director . . .

I am proud to share with you East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation’s 2022 Annual Report

Our local field teams trained over 138,500 smallholder farmers in nine countries in Africa and Asia last year, and our digital and radio content reached millions more. We engaged more women and youth than ever before, enhancing their economic outlook while stimulating growth in the vegetable sector.

Our 2022 Annual Report tracks our progress toward our goals, highlights challenges and solutions in each country, and shares the stories of farmers who are utilizing the new techniques and business skills they have learned from us to earn more income and to supply more vegetables to consumers in local markets.

As each year passes, we are seeing more clearly the sustainable, long-term impact we are having on livelihoods, nutrition, and markets.

These accomplishments would not be possible without our teams’ and partners’ continued commitment to driving change in the smallholder farming communities where we work.

Very best regards,

Stuart Morris
