Joost Pekelharing

Joost Pekelharing is a member of the Board of Trustees at East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation. After attending the Nijenrode Business school in Breukelen, Holland, Joost moved to Southeast Asia and stayed there his whole life. He started in timber, developing and managing forest plantations in the Philippines. From 2005 to 2015, he was the CEO of East-West Seed. During his time as CEO, the company experienced rapid expansion, with an average annual growth of 19%. From 2015 to 2024, Joost served as a member of the Supervisory Board of East-West Seed Group, actively supporting the continuous development of the company.
