Aila Irizsa Ibañez

Aila Irizsa Ibañez currently serves as a Senior Knowledge Transfer Specialist at East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Philippines, bringing nearly a decade of technical expertise to the field. She capacitates a wide range of groups including youth, women, and underserved communities on vegetable production and food safety, while also facilitating market access by linking farmer groups to consolidators, institutions, and processors. In addition, Aila acts as the Technical Support Hub (TSH) Representative in the Philippines, enhancing technical resources and building the capacity of extension staff in the country.

Aila earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology major in Botany at Visayas State University. She completed a short course in Food Systems offered by the Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation and the Netherlands Food Partnership.
