The project is a collaboration with The PHILIPPINE RICE RESEARCH INSTITUTE, a chartered government corporate entity under the Department of Agriculture Philippines.
Objective
The project aims to give farmers a sustainable income source and ensure food security in their communities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Farmers are trained on crop diversification, improved vegetable production techniques, and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). In addition, household food security is enhanced by promoting massive vegetable gardening in public areas.
Main deliverables
- Supporting and training 30 key farming on crop diversification (rice-vegetables)
- Establishment of community food hubs for 50 home gardeners

The project is will be implemented from 24 June 2021 up to and including 31 December 2021
