About the Role:
East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation (EWS-KT) works hand in hand with farming communities in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
To further expand our operations in Assam and Chhattisgarh we are seeking to employ Technical Field Advisors. Technical Field Advisors will focus on supporting our goal of sharing knowledge on improved vegetable production practices with smallholder farmers.

Scope:
Responsible for providing technical knowledge to smallholder farmers on latest vegetable farming techniques and promoting profitable and sustainable farm practices.
Responsibilities:
- Identify villages for our vegetable farming interventions
- Provide technical support on vegetable production techniques to smallholder farmers in 10–15 selected villages per year, working with key farmers to establish 40 demonstration plots per year as practical learning sites for farmers
- Train 1,000–1,200 farmers per year at these demonstration plots, with each farmer attending 2–5 practical training sessions in one season
- Organize 40 Field Days per year
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in agriculture/horticulture, or any other degree with field experience
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a motorcycle
- One year of experience as a trainer in extension education
- Ability to effectively transfer the vegetable production knowledge to farmers
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the local language (Hindi for Chhattisgarh and Assamese for Assam)
