About the Role:
East-West Seed Knowledge Transfer Foundation (EWS-KT) works hand in hand with farming communities in Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Nigeria, the Philippines, Tanzania, and Uganda.
To further expand our operations in Assam, we are seeking to employ Technical Field Advisors. Technical Field Officers will focus on supporting our goal of sharing knowledge on improved fresh vegetable production practices with smallholder farmers.

Responsibilities:
- Identify villages, select and coach the smallholder farmers on vegetable production techniques.
- Provide technical support in 10-15 selected villages per year establishing 40 demonstration plots per year.
- Establishing & Supporting key farmer demonstration plots as practical learning sites for farmers.
- Train 1000 to 1200 farmers in a year in these demonstration plots; each farmer attending 2- 5 practical training sessions in one season.
- Ensure regular participation of farmers in the training
Organize 40 field days in a year.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Agriculture/ Horticulture or Any other degree with field experience.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and motorcycle
One year experience as a trainer in extension education
Ability to transfer vegetable production knowledge to farmers effectively. - Good time management and organization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the local language
- Fluent in Assamese.
